South Point Officer Cody Pennington conducts unlawful traffic stop
This video is to educate the public, but to also hold our public officials accountable! We have gotten emails from the public who complaining about being pulled over for no reason, like the one conducted in this video. Officer Cody Pennington, of South Point police, unlawfully pulls a motorist over, and it was caught on Tape.
Law enforcement is not supposed to run plate numbers or pull drivers over unless a code or statute has been violated. Could you imagine if cops could stop you without a lawful reason? I mean cops already do all day every day.
The police can do anything they want, but they really can’t. It is up to you, the public, to hold public officials accountable. You must cspeak out! We give public officials power to protect the constitution, not to violate it! We have to police the police, or no one will! Officer Cody Pennington could have Just made an honest mistake or lacks proper training and education.
The biggest piece of advise I could share with law enforcement is to remember that you can’t do anything you won’t. We only give you the power to uphold the constitution. You take an oath to protect and defend these rights! You break that oath once rights are violated and could cause you lose your job for conduct unbecoming.
South Point Police officer, Cody Pennington, pulls a motorist over, and claims the driver doesn’t have a valid License. For some reason, Pennington runs the tag number of the driver, But never says why he ran the plate. In this video, the driver shows his driver License, but he was picked up on a warrant!
