LAWRENCE COUNTY(OH)-Inmates from Lawrence county jail claim there is a possible covid outbreak, according to family members who I spoke with the last few days. I have tried to contact Sheriff Lawless several times and even stopped by the jail facility in Ironton, but the Sheriff has not been their according to the staff I spoke with.

According to the family members I spoke with, several inmates are sick and have fevers. One female inmate told family members she has been sick with a fever for several days and claims 13 other female inmates are having similar symptoms. I cannot confirm or deny these reports but I do know we are seeing a surge in covid 19 related cases in the state and across the country.
